Narendra Modi is an Indian politician serving as the 14th and current Prime Minister of India since 2014, Narendra Modi full name is Narendra Damodardas Modi born on September 17 1950, Narendra Damodardas Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014 , and Narendra Modi  is the Member of Parliament for Varanasi, He is also a member of the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party). Narendra Damodardas Modi is the first prime minister to win two consecutive terms with a full majority.



Narendra Modi Early life


Narendra Damodardas Modi on 17 September 1950 born to a Gujarati family in Vadnagar, in Mehsana district. Narendra Modi was the third of six children born to Damodardas Mulchand Modi. Narendra Modi's family is considered as the Backward Class by the Indian government. Narendra Modi in his childhood helped his father to sell tea at the Vadnagar railway station, and later he  ran his own tea stall.

Narendra Modi completed his higher secondary education in 1967 in Vadnagar. When Narendra Modi was eight years old, Narendra Modi discovered the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh), and began attending its training sessions. There Narendra Modi met Lakshmanrao Inamdar who is popularly known as Vakil Saheb, who inducted him as a junior cadet in the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh).

Narendra Modi left home after finishing his high school, Narendra Modi marriage to Jashodaben Chimanlal at his early age. Narendra Modi travelled for two  years around India and visited the Hindu ashrams founded by Swami Vivekananda near Kolkata, the Advaita Ashrama in Almora and the Ramakrishna Mission in Rajkot. Narendra Modi in 1971 became a full time worker for the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh).

Narendra Damodardas Modi while training with the RSS, he also met Vasant Gajendragadkar and Nathalal Jaghda, Bharatiya Jana Sangh leaders who were founding members of the BJP's Gujarat unit in 1980.
In 1985 the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) assigned Narendra Modi to the Bharatiya Janata Party, and Narendra Modi held several positions within the Bharatiya Janata Party until 2001.
Narendra Damodardas Modi was appointed as the Gujarat Chief Minister in 2001 due to Keshubhai Patel's failing poor public image due to the earthquake in Bhuj. Soon after Narendra Damodardas Modi was elected to the legislative assembly.

Narendra Damodardas Modi administration has been considered complicit in the Gujarat, criticised for its handling of it. The Supreme Court appointed a Special Investigation Team, and they found no evidence to initiate prosecution proceedings against Narendra Damodardas Modi, Narendra Damodardas Modi"s policies as the chief minister in Gujarat, credited with encouraging  growth in the economy, and  Narendra Damodardas Modi's administration has been criticised for failing improve health, poverty and education indices in the Gujarat.

Narendra Modi in 1978 received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from School of Open Learning at University of Delhi. Five years later in 1983, Narendra Modi received a Master of Arts degree in political science from Gujarat University.

Narendra Damodardas Modi led the Bharatiya Janata Party in the 2014's election, which gave the party a majority in the Lok Sabha, for the first time for any party since 1984.

Narendra Modi's administration has tried to raise foreign direct investment in the Indian economy, and spending on healthcare and social welfare programmes are reduced. Narendra Damodardas Modi began a sanitation campaign and abolished the environmental and labour laws.

 

 

Narendra Modi Political Career


The Prime Minister Indira Gandhi declared a state of emergency in India in 1975, which lasted until 1977. During this Emergency period, many of her political opponents were jailed and opposition groups were banned.

Narendra Modi was appointed general secretary of Gujarat Lok Sangharsh Samiti. Afterwards the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) was banned.

Narendra Modi was forced to go underground in Gujarat and travelled to avoid arrest. Narendra Modi then involved in printing pamphlets opposing the government and sending them to Delhi to organising demonstrations.

Narendra Modi became an RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) sambhag pracharak regional organiser in 1978 overseeing RSS activities in the areas of Surat and Vadodara in 1979 he went to work for the RSS in Delhi, where he was put to work researching and writing the RSS's version of the history of the Emergency.

Narendra Modi later returned to Gujarat, and was assigned by the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) to the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) in 1985.

In 1987 Modi helped organise the BJP's campaign in the Ahmedabad municipal election, which the BJP won comfortably; Modi's planning has been described as the reason for that result by biographers.

After L. K. Advani became president of the BJP in 1986, the RSS decided to place its members in important positions within the BJP; Modi's work during the Ahmedabad election led to his selection for this role, and Modi was elected organising secretary of the BJP's Gujarat unit in 1987.

Narendra Modi was sworn in as Chief Minister on 2001 October 7 , and entered the Gujarat state legislature on 2002 February 24. A train with several hundred passengers burned approximately 60 people near Godhra On 2002 February 27.

Narendra Modi was sworn as the Prime Minister of India on May 26 2014. Narendra Modi abolished the Planning Commission on December 2014 and  replaced it with the National Institution for India Transformation.

Narendra Modi also launched the Digital India programme with the goal of ensuring that government services are available electronically and to build infrastructure to provide high speed Internet access to rural areas. Narendra Modi launched Ujjwala scheme to provide free LPG connection to rural house holds. This scheme led to increase in LPG consumption by 56% in 2019 as compared to 2014.

Narendra Modi was again sworn in as Prime minister on May 30  2019. On 30 July 2019. Ayodhya dispute was resolved in 2019. The Supreme Court ordered the land to be handed over to a trust to build the Hindu temple. The Supreme Court ordered also ordered the government to give alternate 5 acre land for the purpose of building.

Narendra Modi on September 2014 introduced the Make in India program to encourage foreign companies to manufacture products in India, to turn the country into a global manufacturing hub. Narendra modi also started a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to make the India neat and clean.

Narendra Modi launched the Ayushman Bharat Yojana on 2018, Ayushman Bharat Yojana is a government health insurance scheme. Narendra Modi was named as the Best Chief Minister in 2007 nationwide survey conducted by India Today.

Narendra Modi in 2015 named one of the 30 most Influential People on the Internetand he is the second most followed politician on Facebook and Twitter. Narendra Modi was the third most followed personb on Twitter in 2018.and also the most followed world leader on Instagram and Facebook.

On 24 September 2019 Narendra Modi was awarded the Global Goalkeeper Award in New York City by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in recognition for the Swachh Bharat mission and the progress in India which has made safe sanitation under Narendra Modi's leadership.
